Did you know that your spiritual inheritance in Christ does not perish, spoil or decay.
(1 Peter 1:4)

It is everlasting and no one can take it away from you.

It belongs to you and is rightfully yours in Christ.

You are probably more familiar with worldly inheritance which is good in it’s own way.

However, although this may be the case, it doesn’t take away from the fact that it is still temporal and not everlasting.

Worldly Inheritance can be defined as something passed down from one’s parents to them, or the act of receiving something passed down from one’s parents.

Good as it is, it is still perishable and susceptible to spoil and decay.

Through your spiritual inheritance in Christ, you have rights of inheritance that you as a believer in Christ,

are free to exercise which are entirely based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

According to scripture when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.

We are no longer under the law but under the grace of God.
(Romans 6:14)

God chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

In love scripture tells us he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ,

in accordance with his pleasure and will
(Ephesians 1:4-5)

Through Christ we have received full rights as sons and daughters of the most High God,
2 Corinthians 6:18

That we are free to exercise,

However, when it comes to claiming the Benefits of our inheritance in Christ.

There are characteristics of our inheritance as believers which when claimed gives us those rights

This includes our identity in Christ.

Our identity puts us in a position to claim what is rightly ours in Christ Jesus,

We are co heirs scripture tells us with Christ.

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again;

rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.

And by him we cry, “Abba, Father

The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

Now if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and co heirs with Christ,

My prayer is that you continue to take hold of everything that you have received in Christ and exercise your God given rights as a child of God in your life.

Has it ever crossed your mind as to what lengths God will go to in order to ensure he does what is best for you.

Before you respond, please bear in mind
the following scriptures

(1 Corinthians 2:9),
However, as it is written:

“What no eye has seen,

what no ear has heard,

and what no human mind has conceived

the things God has prepared for those who

love him.

(Ephesians 3:20)
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,

according to his power that is at work within us.

As you can clearly see based on the very word of God,

God will do the impossible for you,

He will go all out for you.

You can remain confident in the fact that the Lord himself goes before you and will be with you;

He will never leave you nor forsake you.

Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
(Deuteronomy 31:8)

All God requires us to do is to put all our Faith, Hope and Trust in Him.

God will go before you

God will stand beside you

God will walk behind you

No matter what circumstances come your way,

You can be certain of this one thing,

That he will not leave you nor forsake you.

According to scripture God was there for Noah, for Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph just to mention a few.

You can be confident and rest in the knowledge that God will there for you too.

He will be with you just as he was with Noah, Abraham etc.

All you need to do is to let God be God and let him be in the driving seat of your life and just watch what he will do for you, in your life.

God knows what is best for you,

In fact, He knows about everything that concerns you down to the intricate details such as the number of hairs on your head.

Can you even begin to imagine how Amazing God is, I am quite sure you can even if it’s just a little bit in relation to the grand scheme of things that God has in store for your life.

That is the goodness, mercy and grace of God.

He says,
“When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze
Isaiah 43:2

This is the mighty God that we serve.

An Awesome God who knows no bounds when it comes to anything that concerns you.

Confidence is a word that appears many times in the Bible.

So what is Confidence and why is it so important for us as believers to know what it truly means as opposed to it’s meaning in modern Society.

Well confidence can be described as Faith, Trust, Belief and more.

We are all affected by confidence in one way or another,

Due to pressure in modern society,
self confidence can lead to lack of confidence in oneself,
In terms of appearance, security, identity, potential just to mention a few.

There are two types of Confidence,
Self Confidence and God Confidence also known as a biblical self confidence.

Self confidence is having faith in oneself to do what seems right in one’s own eyes and to walk in one’s own ways.

To have confidence in one’s own
human strength and ability.

Self confidence has limited potential.

God Confidence is when your faith is rooted in who you are in Jesus Christ.
It is about being confident in who God is,
in the finished work of Christ on the Cross.

It means completely relying on the strength of God.

God confidence has unlimited possibility.

When we are truly confident and secure in who we are in Christ,

People’s opinions and views of us cannot control us, they cannot define us or our future.

What matters is God’s view of you and who he says you are.

Your new life as you know is wrapped up in Christ.

In Christ you are a new creation

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come
The old has gone, the new is here!

Such is the confidence we have in Christ,

That we are more than conquerors through him
who loved us.
(Romans 8:37)

(Psalm 16:5)
Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
you make my lot secure.

Our confidence comes from our relationship with Christ.

It derives from who we are in Christ.

He is our High Priest, and through His intercession, we can approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Paul gives us another reason to be confident in God which as he puts it,

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

A biblical self confidence is in actual fact a confidence in God’s Word and character.

We put no confidence in our flesh, but we have every confidence in the God who made us, called us, saved us and keeps us.

Confidence in God who sustains all things by his powerful word.
(Hebrews 1:3).

My prayer is that as you continue to put your confidence in the LORD according to scripture he will keep your foot from being caught and that if you ask anything according to his will he hears you.
