Our struggle according to Ephesians 6:12
is not against flesh and blood

but against the rulers,

against the authorities,

against the powers of this dark world
and against the spiritual forces of evil
in the heavenly realms.

1 Peter 5:8 says,

Stay alert! Watch out for your great
enemy, the devil.

He prowls around like a roaring lion,
looking for someone to devour.

Stand firm against him, and be strong
in your faith.

We all encounter spiritual warfare
in our everyday lives even if we can’t
see it with our physical eyes, in the

However, knowledge and application
of the truth of God’s word not only
changes the way we view spiritual
warfare but also affects how we
respond to spiritual warfare in our
daily lives.

The word stand is mentioned four times
in Ephesians 6:11-14 for a reason.

The apostle Paul tells us to stand not
to fight because it is God who fights
our battles, 2 Chronicles 20:15,
Exodus 14:14.

Scripture encourages us to be strong
in the Lord and in his mighty power
and to put on the full armor of God
available to us so that we can take
our stand against the devil’s schemes
Ephesians 6:11.

We stand by standing on God’s word,

on God’s promises for us being
certain that God is not a man, that
He should lie or a son of man, that
He should change His mind.

Does He speak and not act?

Does He promise and not fulfill?
Numbers 23:19.

God is faithful and He will do it
1 Thessolonians 5:24.

Wearing the armor of God in our
everyday lives as Christian warriors
helps us to stand our ground when
the day of evil comes,

and after we have done everything,

to stand.

God Bless
